Akudzweishe Vudzijena
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Akudzweishe Vudzijena, but you can call me Aku. I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a child of God, and the founder of Girl Loves Christ.
I love singing. Music has been a big part of my relationship with God, and I help lead worship at my church. I believe music has a unique way of telling the story of God, making His truth relatable, and helping people grow closer to Him. My prayer is that, God willing, I will one day write songs of my own that help others grow in their relationship with God too.
I also love community. I genuinely believe God never intended us to follow Jesus alone. We need people who will pray with us, encourage us, challenge us, learn with us, and point us back to Christ. There is something powerful about choosing to walk alongside one another through every season of life.
Why Girl Loves Christ Exists
Girl Loves Christ is not just about reminding women who they are in Christ. It is about helping women become more like Christ, together.
Jesus is at the centre of everything we do, and Scripture comes first. We want to create spaces where women and girls can encounter God through worship, grow through His Word, ask honest questions, and build a faith that reaches beyond a single event.
Here, women are not just gathering; they are walking with one another. Community is not an extra—it is part of how we grow. We believe every generation has something to give and something to receive, and that faith becomes stronger when we learn, worship, and do life together.
Girl Loves Christ serves women of all ages, with a particular heart for young women and teenage girls navigating identity and faith. It is also for mothers and daughters, women in every season of life—single, married, grieving, or thriving—and Christian groups and churches across Scotland and beyond.
We are intentional about creating opportunities for women of different generations to connect, while also making room for people to speak openly about the experiences and challenges unique to their season of life. This is for every girl and every woman—mothers and daughters, sisters and friends. It is about building meaningful spiritual connections, care, and sisterhood across generations.
A Note to You
If you have found Girl Loves Christ, I hope you know that there is a place for you here. Whether you are strong in your faith, finding your way back to God, or simply wanting to know Him more, you are welcome.
My prayer is that this community reminds you that you are loved, chosen, and never alone.
